A Subtle Approach for the Most Impactful Results

When you are on the lookout for non-invasive, safe treatment options to get rid of wrinkles, restore volume, and enhance facial contours, dermal injectables are the ideal solutions. At VeinGuard Heart & Vascular Center, we specialize in a wide range of dermal fillers and injectables, including Botox, Restylane, Dysport, Juvéderm, and Radiesse.

BOTOX

BOTOX is one of the most popular injectables used to treat wrinkles and fine lines. Also called Botulinum Type A injection, BOTOX is a type of neurotoxin that is safe in small amounts. After receiving FDA approval in 2012 to treat facial wrinkles, BOTOX has gone on to become one of the preferred modes of treatment for age-related wrinkles and folds.

Neurotoxin treatments such as BOTOX address smooth dynamic wrinkles, which are wrinkles formed because of facial movements such as smiling, squinting, frowning, and other facial expressions that we make frequently. BOTOX works by stopping nerve impulses from reaching the muscles that helps them relax. This causes reduction in wrinkles and softening of expressions.

What does BOTOX Treat?

BOTOX is highly effective in addressing the following:

  • An overly concerned look because of frowns or lines
  • Forehead creases
  • Crow’s feet or wrinkles around eyes
  • Wrinkles or fine lines in the corners of the mouth
  • Cobblestoned appearance on cheeks or chin

The treatment session with BOTOX begins with the application of a numbing agent. Our trained cosmetic dermatologists then inject BOTOX in predetermined amounts in the areas to be treated.
The results are visible three to seven days after the treatment.

Our extensive experience and training in handling BOTOX and other injectables gives us an edge over others in delivering optimal results without negative side effects. A careful evaluation of medical history, skin condition, and extreme precautions taken at every step make the right kind of difference that brings about pleasing results every time.

Before & After Treatment

Radiesse

Radiesse is a great option if you are looking for a safe treatment to address deep folds and severe wrinkles in the chin, nose, and mouth or the back of hands. With age or excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays, support structures of the skin in the form of collagen and elastin begin to reduce, leading to wrinkles and folds.

Radiesse is made up of microspheres of Calcium Hydroxylapatite that are suspended within an aqueous gel carrier. It works by stimulating collagen production and restores the lost volume of the skin. By enhancing elasticity and smoothing out wrinkles, Radiesse enhances skin integrity and addresses smile lines, nasolabial folds, chin wrinkles, marionette lines, and pre-jowl folds.

Results are visible gradually over the days following the treatment and last for as long as a year. The treatment session lasts anywhere between 15 minutes to half an hour and has no downtime or preparation.

As the active ingredient used is Calcium Hydroxylapatite, which is similar to the natural substance present in our bones, Radiesse treatment is safe and suitable for all skin types.

Radiesse has a two-fold action wherein the initial months, it acts as a cosmetic filler to restore volume in the treated area and erases fine lines. After a few days, the calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres get to work to boost collagen production. These microspheres are gradually absorbed in the body, leaving your skin wrinkle-free.

Restylane

Restylane is another injectable that uses natural and biodegradable active ingredients to reverse troublesome signs of aging. Apart from the loss of skin proteins, folds, wrinkles, and fine lines are also caused by lack of hydration. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance present in the dermal layer of the skin that serves to hydrate the skin. With age, there is less hyaluronic acid produced, leading to loss of volume and laxity.

Restylane is an FDA-approved injectable with hyaluronic acid as its active ingredient. Also called hyaluronan, the acid is naturally produced by our body, and maximum amounts of this substance are found in the skin, connective tissue, and the eyes.

The active ingredient in Restylane is hyaluronic acid that is non-animal derived and biodegradable. Hyaluronic acid is able to carry water up to 3,000 times its own weight. The acid is in the form of a crystal-clear gel, which is injected just below the skin to boost hydration and address folds, lines, and wrinkles. Apart from hydration, hyaluronic acid also promotes rejuvenation, tissue repair, and exerts anti-inflammatory action.

The quick, 30-minute lunchtime procedure restores volume and gives back your youthful look that lasts for as long as a year.

Delivered by our highly experienced and trained practitioners, Restylane injections give stunning results by restoring hyaluronic acid and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles.

Juvederm

Juvederm is another FDA based cosmetic injectable that contains hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally present substance in the skin and eyes in the human body. Its ability to retain a huge volume of water in relation to its own weight is the main reason behind its use as a cosmetic dermal filler.

Hyaluronic acid can be destroyed either as a consequence of aging or with excessive exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. As hyaluronic acid plumps up the skin by holding water, less of this substance leads to dryness and loss of volume that causes wrinkles and sagging.

Dermal fillers such as Juvederm that are hyaluronic acid based replenish the important skin hydrating element to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles by restoring volume.

At VeinGuard Heart & Vascular Center, we specialize in a range of dermal fillers, including Juvederm. There are multiple Juvederm products available to treat specific areas, and our cosmetic dermatologist determines the most suitable product based on the extent of wrinkles, deep lines, or folds in different areas.

For instance, Juvederm Voluma addresses volume loss in the cheeks while Juvéderm Vollure™ Xc treats moderate to severe folds and wrinkles in the face. For those who desire correction of perioral lines and lip augmentation, Juvéderm Ultra XC or Juvéderm Volbella® XC are recommended.

Dysport

Dysport is an FDA approved cosmetic injectable that reduces fine lines and wrinkles in the region between the eyebrows. These lines are also called frown lines as they extend vertically or upward toward the forehead. These lines are also called glabellar lines and are noticeable, particularly when you frown.

The lines occur naturally and, in some people, are noticeable even during relaxation. The primary reason for these prominent frown lines is the loss of collagen. Collagen is a type of protein in the dermal layer of the skin that maintains the elasticity of the skin. Apart from collagen loss, wrinkles also occur due to increased muscle contraction that occurs when smiling or frowning.

Dysport is designed to treat moderate to severe wrinkles or fine lines in between the eyebrows. Just as BOTOX, Dysport is also a type of neurotoxin that blocks contractions of dynamic muscles that cause wrinkles.

Scheduling an appointment with our expert dermatologist is the first step to understand if you are a candidate for Dysport. A thorough evaluation and discussion with our experts help you know if the frown lines are mild, moderate, or severe and how Dysport can help resolve these.

If the dermatologist considers you to be a candidate for Dysport, an appointment is scheduled for the procedure, which takes a few minutes to complete.

A mild anesthetic is applied before the Dysport injections are given to alleviate any pain. The doctor then determines the exact areas around the eyebrows where Dysport needs to be administered. Results are usually observed immediately.
